Installing Rubber Membrane Roofing
To install rubber membrane roofing, start with preparing the roof surface by cleaning it. For roofs that cannot be cleaned, apply an underlayment, say plywood. When the surface is ready, you can lay the first pieces. Take some time, about half an hour to allow the tiles to wrinkle out.
Prepare the adhesive by stirring it for up to five minutes before using it. When the rubber is set, fold it back and apply the adhesive evenly on both the tile and the surface or plywood. This will create a better bond and avoid any leakages. The adhesive should not touch the seams. Use a roller of broom to eliminate babbles and wrinkles that form when relaying the tiles.
To properly install the seams, clean them and then use seam tape to seal the rubber together neatly. After this, you can remove the rubber bucking and your roof will be done.
With everything going environmental friendly, roofing is not left behind. Better roofing materials are replacing the likes of petroleum driven asphalt shingles in the market
