Cleaning Stained Window Glass

nullStained glass windows require more attention while cleaning than plain glass windows. Stained windows are so called because they have designs on them which serve certain purposes. Avoid using scouring pads since they will scratch your glass. Avoid corrosive cleaning agents such as vinegar since they will easily attack the window’s metallic structure. You also need to avoid exposing the stained window to too much moisture.

The cleaning supplies that you use should not be ammonia-based. Alternatively, use old rugs and toothbrushes. For purposes of whiting the stained window glass, make use of powdered calcium carbonate since it is a chemically inert substance. Each glass piece should be separately washed. The cleaner should be sprayed on the cleaning object and not on the window. Textured glass is best washed with old toothbrushes. The toothbrush that is used for cleaning purposes should be different from the one that is used for whiting tasks.
