A traditional living room should be decorated in such a way that it bears a cultural touch though it embraces the modern decorating styles. Fresh flowers come in handy and they should be placed in the voluminous vases that were used in the earlier days. Trays of fruit like grape and mango arranged stylishly will be enough decoration on top of the table. You can add a candle at the middle with a stylish candle holder.

The wall color should complement the color of the seat linens. A lighter shade of brown or a darker shade of red makes the setting look superb. A woven floor mat of the same color as the seat linens and bearing a flowery pattern at the border would be ideal to cover the space around the seats and the table.
